I love their story.

As I contemplate telling it on my blog I realize two things: First, it would be a very long blog post and Secondly, well, it’s private.  Let’s just say it all ends up with her getting a rad ring on her finger while visiting Smith Rock, the site of our Esession.

Assisted by the awesome Tiffany and Amanda and with a gazillion (that’s a photography term) balloons in tow, we hiked, played and dare I say, even frolicked.

Molly, you are electric.  Your sense of humor is contagious and inspiring.  And, you’re a banker.  Need I say more?

Tim, you have big guns, a sweet smile and we love the way you adore your girl.  Plus, you’re a cop and that’s just cool.

For the photogs:  Shot with Nikon gear, some off camera lighting courtesy of Photoflex and finished in post with Lightroom and some love from Kubota Image Tools.  Images are lovingly being hugged by the sloppy border, “LipSmack,” from BorTex.  I thought LipSmack was fitting.  Rock on…

Jordan and Maria drove over form Portland to spend the weekend in Sunriver, so it was the perfect time to shoot their Esession.  We are very excited for their upcoming wedding and loved the chance to get to know them a bit better.  I super loved the fact that they even brought some props, so rad!

Assisted by the wonderful Amanda and Tiffany, I shot Jordan and Maria in some various “travel” themed areas around Bend.

Maria:  You have a wonderful eye, don’t stop shooting, and never fear being in front of the camera.

Jordan: Your muscles photograph very well.  We loved the way you looked at Maria and your woodcarving skills are second to none.

For the photogs:  Shot with Nikon gear, some off camera lighting courtesy of Photoflex and finished in post with Lightroom and some love from Kubota Image Tools.  Images are lovingly surrounded by the sloppy border, “Gertrude,” from BorTex.  Phew, that’s a mouthful.  Rock on.

For the past few years we've taken images like this of our clients, inspired by the painting "American Gothic." These two rocked it.

Have you ever met someone at the age of 3 or 4, then suddenly gotten a call from their Mother, who is a dear friend, and were asked to shoot the now 17 or 18 year old’s senior portraits?  Well it happened to me, and time really does move that quickly.
What can I say about Kit? I see so much of her Mother in her, a wonderful thing. In all senses of the word, she’s a rockstar.

Kit played the accordion for us as we shot, a tune that still plays through my mind. I dug it so much that I decided to listen to accordion music while I edited her session, couple that with recently watching the French film Amelie and you might see where my inspiration came from in the processing.

For the photogs:  Nikon D700 with Photoflex Octodome3 lit by a SB800, posted in Lightroom using my own custom presets, finished with Kubota Image Tool’s “Pogo” Sloppy Border from Bor-Tex.  Assisted by the wonderful team of Amanda and Tiffany.

Rock on…

I adore Summer evenings in Bend, Oregon.  I love that what I get to do for a living enables me to spend time with people like Matt and Kristin.  I love putting all that together and coming up with a blessed engagement session.  Prayers were answered, the sun didn’t disapear as it has so often in the evenings as of late.

We started with a little kiss ‘n cruise action downtown, then off to Jackson’s Corner for a little root beer float, the two then tried their luck at our very own “spontaneity game,” then off to one of my favorite fields near the Deschutes River for some love in the setting sun…

Matt and Kristin, we can’t wait for your wedding, rock on…

For the photogs…  Shot with Nikon, processed in Lightroom 3 using my own presets as well as Kubota Image Tools presets and finished with “Candy” sloppy border from the “BorTex pak.”

Know what I love about love?  It’s not dependent on the economy, location, or in the case of Jane and Luke’s wedding a few weeks ago, the aparent disappearance of Summer.

Despite a bit of rain and a cool wind, Jane and Luke tied the knot.  Love prevailed and we felt blessed to be a part of their day.  Truly a beautiful couple, on the outside too ; )

Please enjoy a few from images from Jane and Luke’s wedding, held at the timeless Sunriver Great Hall.  Gorgeous flower arrangements by Wildflowers of Oregon.

Rock on…

J.C and Jill have a beautiful family, and their newest addition is already a one year old.  J.C. and Jill own and operate Connexion Printing Consultants so now you know where to go should you need any rad printing.

Here’s a few images from our short time with Harrison, rock on!

I believe that when hearts suffer abandonment, they are merely destined for something greater.  A love that doesn’t “end” in completion, but is just beginning…

Jayson and Katie both suffered abandonment, in some form, left to continue on, Katie to parent her son and Jayson to parent his son and daughter.  What was lost was made up for and in each other they have been given a wonderful chance, a new start as a new family.  In the weeks leading up to their wedding, you could feel Katie and Jayson’s desire to get on with the vows, in fact, you could read it daily on their Facebook pages.  Lauren and I love being a part of things that are meant to be, this wedding was truly meant to be.   Please enjoy a few of our favorite moments from their wedding…

Photogs:  Processed in Lightroom with Kubota Presets and some of our own creations, textures and borders added in Photoshop with BorTex.  Borders: “surf & “Boss.”

She’s the easy going city girl who digs camping and bare feet, he’s the country boy who digs the “metro” in life.  Together they are perfect, fun and as beautiful as they come–inside and out.

So looking forward to their wedding next month!

Photogs: Post in Lightroom with Kubota presets, textures and border applied in Photoshop with BorTex.  Border name: Jack.
