We’re honored to be featured on Alt Blu’s blog in an area dedicated to Small Business Success.

Alt Blu is a business located in Central Oregon that’s dedicated to innovative web design & development, branding & logo design, graphic design as well as custom illustration.  I thought it a fantastic idea on their part to highlight and interview area businesses on a range of topics and we’re certainly honored to be one of the first.

Thanks so much Alt Blu, rock on!

We feel blessed to be involved with The Justice Conference, this Friday and Saturday, the 11th and 12th of February at the Riverhouse Convention Center.

What is the conference all about?  Taken from the front page of The Justice Conference website, “The Justice Conference is about the nature of justice.   Justice as the foundation of human rights.  Justice as the expression of equality.  Justice as the fabric of freedom. Justice as forgiveness.  Justice as reconciliation. Justice as restored relationship between the creator and the created.  Justice as the very nature of God.”

Gifted speakers, musicians, and organizations, all dedicated to justice, will be gathering to seek their part in this massive topic.

Saturday evening, I’ll be speaking with my inspiring friend, Kevin Kubota, as he and his wife Clare host a dinner conversation surrounding Creative Advocacy.

We hope to discuss how we as artists, in any media, can come along side organizations and help tell their story and the stories of those they work with.

If you aren’t signed up for the Justice Conference, please consider it.  Rarely is such a production held, especially in our area.  Rock on.

About 5 years ago, I took my first transatlantic fight.   I would be using photography to help tell the story of an organization doing outreach in Eastern Europe, specifically Estonia and Latvia.  It was on this trip that I would meet Jeramy Burchett, an amazing musician with an amazing heart.  Jeramy is real, speaks his mind and has a heart for the lost.  Throughout the past 5 years Lauren and I have gotten to know Jeramy and have patiently waited for him to find, “the one.”  We’ve always known that it would take a very, very special woman to walk through life with Jer… Mission accomplished.  Jeramy and I agreed that a) I married up, and b) he was going to marry up too ; )

Jer and Katie have a cool theme planned for their Portland wedding, so we did our best to find an area of Bend that would match their vision.  We had to look no further than the courtyard at Between The Covers, a sweet little bookstore on Delaware and Bond.

If you’re in to books, you have to check out BTC.  First, check out some of our favorite moments with Jer and Katie…
