Have you ever met someone at the age of 3 or 4, then suddenly gotten a call from their Mother, who is a dear friend, and were asked to shoot the now 17 or 18 year old’s senior portraits? Well it happened to me, and time really does move that quickly.
What can I say about Kit? I see so much of her Mother in her, a wonderful thing. In all senses of the word, she’s a rockstar.
Kit played the accordion for us as we shot, a tune that still plays through my mind. I dug it so much that I decided to listen to accordion music while I edited her session, couple that with recently watching the French film Amelie and you might see where my inspiration came from in the processing.
For the photogs: Nikon D700 with Photoflex Octodome3 lit by a SB800, posted in Lightroom using my own custom presets, finished with Kubota Image Tool’s “Pogo” Sloppy Border from Bor-Tex. Assisted by the wonderful team of Amanda and Tiffany.
Rock on…
